International Motorsport is a highly successful motorsport team based in Auckland, New Zealand. The International Motorsport Group is a team of highly skilled members who pride themselves on building and racing some of the world’s most prestigious vehicles. Having built and run race cars for over 55 years for some of the world’s most recognised drivers and has run race cars in many countries including NZ, Australia, USA, South Africa and Asia. IMS has the professional demeanour and knowledge to excel as a world class operation. 2018 has seen the team at IMS continue to grow and the business to expand beyond our expectations. We are currently hard at work preparing to launch in to an action-packed endurance racing season and continuing to build and restore beautiful performance classics International Motorsport have a team built of the most experienced race mechanics, engineers and fabricators in the country.

Race Car Preparation

  • Car set up/set down and alignment on scales before and after events
  • Complete race preparation safety checks over and report
  • Race Engine, Gearbox and Differential Rebuilds
  • Shock Absorber Dyno Testing
  • Sourcing of new parts, race tyres and brakes as required
  • Professional data analysis and engineering report
  • IMS has its own panel and paint division and has a car image/livery designer and sign writers

 

Full Track Support

  • full complement of staff including management, senior data engineers, race engineers and tyre technicians
  • Transportation of race car and all team supplied equipment to run a race car
  • Full team support for private test days and full race meetings available
  • Professional management of all track booking, race entries, fuel, food, media releases and other logistics
  • Management of the team and drivers travel and accommodation arrangements when required.

ABOUT US

We specialise in building and racing top of the line race cars with the absolute latest technology. We have all the equipment to do car setups, advanced engineering, and fabrication work as well as building/re-building of engines, gearboxes and differentials. The race team prides itself on having the ability to provide all the services involved with racing at the highest level. The race shop is equipped with a race engine and gearbox division which is an approved Porsche GT3 Cup engine and gearbox builder as well as skilled in servicing and re-building of Audi GT3 gearboxes. The team also has professional experience building approved race car roll cages, exhaust systems, fabrication work and a shock absorber dyno testing. We also build complete race cars as seen with the highly successful BMW race cars of the 90s, the Caltex V8 Team with Angus Fogg and Paul Pedersen and of late the new high-tech Nissan GTR R35 endurance race car that we are running in the National Endurance series. 2018 has seen the team at IMS continue to grow our endurance racing calendar in New Zealand and Internationally. As shown at this year’s Bathurst 12 Hour, and Phillip Island 101, IMS are one of few NZ teams fully equipped to run race cars at a world class level.
